MAWLID FESTIVAL
A special gathering dedicated to honoring and celebrating the life and legacy of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This joyful event is an opportunity to express our love and happiness for the beloved Prophet (PBUH) through inspiring talks and uplifting performances that reflect his message of mercy, compassion, and unity. Come together with the community as we remember his noble character and teachings in a spiritually enriching and celebratory atmosphere.
KNOW YOUR PROPHET CENTRE
The Know Your Prophet Centre (KYPC) is dedicated to nurturing a vibrant community of spiritual seekers inspired by the life and teachings of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). At the heart of KYPC's vision is a deep yearning to help individuals draw closer to the Divine by truly knowing and loving His final Messenger. Through a holistic approach that blends knowledge, spirituality, and community engagement, KYPC offers a path of learning and transformation rooted in the Prophetic tradition.
Our work centers on sharing the timeless wisdom found in the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), ensuring that this sacred knowledge is passed on through authentic scholars and spiritual guides (Shaykhs) who embody its principles. We provide spaces for spiritual development through practices such as prayer, meditation (Dhikr), and reflection, allowing individuals to deepen their inner connection to Allah (SWT).
KYPC is also committed to building strong, compassionate communities through service, support, and inclusive outreach. We foster interfaith dialogue to promote mutual understanding, and we actively support new Muslims on their journey of faith, helping them learn, grow, and thrive in a welcoming environment. In all our efforts, KYPC strives to embody the mercy, wisdom, and love that define the legacy of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
WHY WE CELEBRATE PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ
“Verily (oh Muhammad) we have only sent you as Mercy to creations” - Holy Quran
Sayyidna Muhammad is Allah’s gift of Mercy to His creation. Each human being is able to benefit from this gift according to their belief and understanding of the reality and role of Sayyidna Muhammad (PBUH) in creation. Allah said in Holy Quran: “Is it that they did not know their messenger, so they denied him”. This verse was revealed about the unbelievers of Mecca who did not accept Sayyidna Muhammad (PBUH). Not knowing Sayyidna Muhammad will lead to denying him.
Today, Muslims do not deny Sayyidna Muhammad as the messenger of Allah, but they deny the fact that this role is not limited to His life in the physical world. They also deny his eternal role as the Mercy to mankind, as the Teacher of goodness to humanity, as the Intercessor for humanity, as the means of attaining faith and enlightenment in this world.
They deny his role and status because they no longer know their Prophet. Unfortunately, a lot of Muslims today believe that the role of sayyidna Muhammad is no more than that of a postman who delivered a book (The Holy Quran). They overlook the fact that the only heart who could have received the power and reality of the Holy Quran, was that of their Prophet. They also overlook the fact that He was the walking Quran.
The mission of Know Your Prophet Centre is to help people know, love and honor and connect with their Messenger, so they can take their full share of Divine mercy. Once that mercy and love permeate their beings, they can become guides and examples of what it means to be a true human being. Only then can we call people to the wonderful religion of love and mercy.

Human beings are a special creation. For a person to reach his full potential of becoming a true human being, it requires lots of care, love, discipline, and education. The easiest way to inspire people to strive to be better is to provide for them role models who possess the things you want them to achieve. Humanity is molded with the love of perfection. The more something is perfect, the easier it is to love. You see children imitating their role models in sports, in the arts, in movies. The best soccer or football players are loved and adored by millions because as humans we love and admire perfection.
People, in general, may possess bits and pieces of perfection. A great movie actor may be near perfect with their acting skills but may be very imperfect with his or her manners. The only human being who is perfect in every way possible is Sayyidna Muhammad (PBUH). Allah said of him in the Quran: “Verily (Oh Muhammad) you possess a Magnificent Character”. This is no ordinary compliment. This compliment is coming from the One who created Sayyidna Muhammad (PBUH).
The companions became guides and stars for humanity because they accompanied, loved and emulated the perfect human being.
This power of transforming human beings from people who are entangled with the web of egoism and animalistic desires, to people of excellent character, still exist today. The alchemist stone which turns iron into gold is none-other than Sayyidna Muhammad (PBUH). That is why it is important for people to know about him and love him.
Shaytan and the forces of evil understand the importance of people seeing Sayyidna Muhammad as the ultimate role model for humanity. That is why they are trying their best to make sure people do not believe this truth. In the last 100 years, Muslims have been subjected to an orchestrated effort to separate the ummah from their messenger and to make us think he is just an ordinary man who is now dead and can no longer benefit anyone. Unfortunately, these forces of evil have succeeded to a certain extent. A lot of our problems today can be traced back to this misinformation and misunderstanding. That is why, now more than ever, we need people and organizations dedicated to reviving the special place sayyidina Muhammad holds in the hearts and lives of Muslims.
MAWLID FESTIVAL ITINERARY
Session One - Nasheeds & Naats: 6PM – 8PM
This opening session will feature soulful performances of nasheeds and naats in English, Arabic, and Urdu by a group of talented local and international munshids, performing together on stage. The focus will be on musical and poetic praise of the Prophet ﷺ, setting a heartfelt spiritual tone for the evening.

Short Reflections by Scholars - Scholars will offer brief talks between recitations, connecting the music with meaningful insights about the Prophet’s ﷺ character, compassion, and relevance today.
8PM – 8.30PM: Maghrib Prayer Break
A break for congregational Maghrib prayer. Prayer facilities and guidance will be provided.
Session Two - Mawlid Recitations & Reflections: 8:30 PM – 11PM
The second half of the evening is a more traditional Mawlid celebration, blending formal Arabic and English Mawlid texts. Artists will lead the audience through poetic tributes to the Prophet’s ﷺ birth, life, and noble qualities. Throughout the session, reflections by scholars will continue to offer deeper context and spiritual insight.
